I was always the girl who hid in the shadows. I was overweight and insecure and never spoke my truth. I decided to take control of my life and change that. I had the sleeve surgery and turned my whole life around and lost 130lbs. I’ve always been an artist, I would hide in my room and draw and paint, and it gave me the ability to hone my skills, but I was never completely happy because I felt trapped. I started in fashion design and would draw the clothes I wish I could wear if I had the body or the confidence for it. I started painting nails in my room, turned it into a career, opened a salon with my sister, and landed my own reality show on TLC and competed on several competition shows. In the process, I learned a lot, I grew alot, and decided I’m not letting anyone, including “reality” tv stifle me again. I’m not afraid to speak my mind.
