I am an undergraduate student with aspirations of attending vet school and becoming a veterinarian. I have always had a soft spot for children and animals, with an interest in education. I have owned many animals, ranging from parrots, guinea pigs, and dogs, but currently have a rabbit, Junkie. Junkie is a New Zealand mix who was adopted from a local shelter. She was found dumped behind a movie theater and is suspected to have been a meat rabbit. Now, she is an emotional support animal and regularly meets students on my college campus to spread joy and information about proper care of rabbits. She loves dressing up and knows many tricks. We plan to make more posts about animal education, training, and remove the idea that rabbits are simply pets for children.
